14 of the best luxury yachts for sale at the 2017 Miami boat shows

This week sees the start of the 2017 Miami boat shows, with a number of luxury yachts going on display as part of Yachts Miami Beach, Simply Sail Miami, the Miami International Boat Show.

Our round-up of the best yachts for sale starts with_ _Watercolours, which was built in aluminium by US yard Trinity. Launched in 1991 she has had several refits, most recently in 2007. Accommodation is for eight guests in a full-beam master suite, VIP suite and two identical double cabins, all with entertainment centres and en-suite bathroom facilities. In addition, five crew are accommodated in three cabins.

Heartbeat was built in GRP by Hargrave Custom Yachts, with delivery in 2009 and has been cared for by a full-time captain and mate. Accommodation finished in cherry wood is for eight guests in four cabins consisting of a full-beam master suite aft, a VIP suite forward and port and starboard twins fitted with Pullman berths, and all cabins have marble en-suite bathroom facilities.

Cocktails was built in aluminium by US yard Trinity Yachts to ABS class with delivery in 2004 and went back to the yard for a multimillion dollar refit in 2012. Accommodation is for up to 12 guests in five cabins including a main-deck master suite, while below there are two identical doubles to port and starboard, a further double and a twin with a Pullman berth.

Aldabra was built in steel and aluminium by Italian yard Codecasa to Lloyd's class and is MCA compliant with delivery in 2011 as the first in the yard’s Vintage series. Her layout accommodates 12 guests in a full-beam master and VIP cabin on the main deck, and four lower deck guest cabins — two doubles and two twins. Square windows, a vertical wheelhouse, and white and silver paintwork give her a distinctly modern look.

Status Quo was built by Canadian yard Richmond Yachts to ABS class and was delivered in 2013. Accommodation is for up to 12 guests in a six-cabin layout plus crew quarters for up to eight. The guest accommodation is configured as a full-beam main deck master suite, VIP suite, three doubles with queen sized beds and a twin cabin, all with full en-suite bathroom facilities.

Casino Royale was built in GRP by US yard Christensen to ABS class and delivered in 2008 as the largest yacht in the yard’s Millennium Edition series. A lavish interior by Carol Williamson accommodates 12 guests in six cabins consisting of a main-deck master suite, a full-beam VIP suite, two doubles with queen sized beds and a further two twins, all with en-suite bathroom facilities.

Step One was built by Dutch yard Amels in steel and aluminium and delivered in 2012 as the first in the yard's Limited Edition 180 series. A custom interior by Laura Sessa utilises a colour palette that focuses on creams and whites, with maple wood and white onyx contrasted against black details. Accommodation is for up to 11 guests in five cabins including a master suite on the main deck, three doubles and a twin, all with en-suite bathroom facilities.

Quinta Essentia was built in aluminium by the Italian Sea Group and delivered in April 2016 as one of the yard’s Admiral models. Accommodation is for up to 12 guests in six cabins and interior designer Michela Reverberi has come up with the clever conceit of theming them according to the four elements of earth, air, fire and water. The cabins are configured as a master suite, two VIP suites and three twins.

Double Down was built in steel and aluminium by Italian yard Codecasa to Lloyd's class and MCA compliant and was delivered in 2010 with a full refit in 2016 bringing her up to immaculate condition. Her rich mahogany and marble interior by Della Role accommodates up to 18 guests in nine cabins. These are configured as a full-beam master suite on the main deck, five VIP suites below and three twins.

Martha Ann was built in steel and aluminium by German yard Lürssen and delivered in 2008 and with a refit in 2014. Lloyd's classed and MCA compliant, she has a spectacular interior by François Zuretti accommodating 12 guests in six cabins consisting of a full-beam master suite on the main deck with a private lounge including a wet bar, a VIP suite on the upper deck and four doubles below.
